Russell IPM at Fruit Focus 2016 – East Malling, Kent, UK
Fruit Focus welcomed a record breaking 1,300 visitors through their gates this year! Russell IPM’s Product Manager Hussein Fawzi and Horticultural Development Manager Dr Clare Sampson of Keele University were in attendance to provide the visiting growers with Russell IPM's latest and most novel solutions for crop protection.
The event, which is held at East Malling Research Centre in Kent, welcomed their highest number of visitors yet. The team from Russell IPM were there to show off their latest innovations in soft fruit protection including Optiroll for aphids, whitefly and thrips control, and iPest Plus the pest control reporting app.
Another key product showcased was the Russell IPM Xlure SWD pheromone for monitoring populations of the devastating Drosophila suzukii, spotted wing fruit fly. This fruit fly pest has become more prominent in the UK’s fruit orchards, but with Russell IPM’s solid Xlure SWD lure, the Drosophila present can be closely monitored to ensure timely treatment and prevent infestation.
Finally, the Russell IPM team had a fantastic time at the event and would like to thank the organisers and all those who took the time to visit the Russell IPM stand. The team were able to discuss their products and ideas with many potential and long-standing customers, distributors and suppliers from the UK, Europe and beyond. The team look forward to Fruit Focus 2017.
