This year, Russell IPM's Head of Research & Development, Dr Nayem Hassan was invited by the Master of MAI-Bari Programme in Italy to teach a course entitled “Sustainable IPM Technologies for Mediterranean Fruit and Vegetable Crops”. Dr Hassan's lectures covered “Semiochemicals: Formulation and application” and ran from 28 November to 1 December 2016, within Unit III “Pest/Pathogen Control”.

The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (MAIB) is a postgraduate training center, operating in four main areas: "Soil management and water resources ", " Integrated pest management of Mediterranean orchard crops","Mediterranean organic Agriculture" and "Agriculture, food and sustainable rural development", where the highest quality of scientific research and design are applied in partnerships with commercial entities under the programs of international cooperation. Dr Hassan was happy to share his expertise with students from around the world, paving the way for the green future of agriculture in the Mediterranean whilst forging new research partnerships and global co-operation for Russell IPM.
